Stains are acrylic paints with many different finishes

 

OPAQUE

 

1.Designed   and manufactured to go on Greenware (That Gray Stuff)

 

2. The Correct applications will give a solid color.

1. Designed and manufactured to go Bisque. Water based 

3. Must do at least 3 coats and is sold in 2 oz. Bottles for large areas

2. This opaque acrylic paint gives a solid color.

4. May be applied with brush or sponge

 

 

TRANSLUCENT

STAINS

A FRIT (Glass) based paint.  Frit is a form of glass designed to go on Bisque

2. Can have many different properties, color, finish, crystal filled, specks, transparent, semi-transparent, semi-opaque, and opaque

METALLICS

3. Allways read directions on each bottle of glaze different glazes with different properties require a different application. The artist’s touch, with this product weather brush or sponge is also important.  The term “Heavy Glazer” and “Light Glazer” refers to the application loaded and aplied to the bisque piece.

2. Has a metal type cold, silver, copper, etc.,  finish when 4 coats are applied

 

 

TEXTURED

OVERGLAZES

A product that gives a metallic, polished iridescent finish

BISQUE COLORS

Manufactured to go on Bisque. Can be used for brush strokes or applied in several coats for solid coverage, check labels for the number of suggested coats, for solid coverage.  When dry, apply glaze over Bisque colors.
